How Small Masonry Projects Can Improve Your Landscape
When homeowners hear “masonry,” they picture patios, walls and five-figure quotes. But some of the highest-impact landscape improvements are small stonework projects a modest crew can finish in a day or two.
Stone edging
A crisp stone edge between lawn and bed does three jobs: it looks sharp, it keeps mulch where it belongs, and it gives the mower a clean line to follow. Natural stone or pavers, set on a compacted base, hold their line for years.
Walkway repairs
Sunken, rocking or uneven pavers are a trip hazard and an eyesore. Most can be lifted, re-bedded and reset without replacing the whole walk — provided the base is still sound.
Small stone accents
A stone border around a mailbox bed, a paver landing at the bottom of the steps, a dry-laid stone ring around a tree: small touches that make the landscape feel finished and intentional.
What to expect
- We assess the base before quoting — no surprises mid-job
- Proper bedding and compaction, not just setting stone on dirt
- Work area left clean, joints swept, edges backfilled
